Google is a search engine that helps in finding answers to all kinds of questions. Due to its good service, it became so popular. Before Google’s search it was not so easy to search the Internet as it is today
Basically, Google is a multinational technology company that provides services and products connected to the Internet as a service to the people. This company offers many services such as search cloud computing, online advertising technology. Google earns profit from AdWords (AdWords), its advertising program.
Google was founded in January 1996 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. They are also known as ‘Google Guys’. Both these PhD students used to spend many hours searching anything on the Internet and even after that they did not get the right and useful information, then they searched the search engine to overcome this problem. Both these students named Google as a search engine in their research and later this search engine got the name ‘Google’.
Google is made up of the English word googol, which means – a number that contains one hundred and one zero. This name suggests that the company’s search engine is working to provide a large amount of information to the people.
In the early days, Google ran a domain named google.stanford.edu under the Stanford University website and its domain name was registered for Google on 15 September 1997.
Initially Google could not be so popular and both students wanted to sell it to Excite Company but that company did not like this offer. When many companies turned down the offer, the project was liked by Andy Bechtolsheim and he invested in it. After that some more investors got the project and on 4 September 1998 Google was founded in a company.
Google’s first public work began on August 19, 2004, and on this day Larry Page and Sergey Brin also agreed to work together at Google for the next twenty years.
Since 2006, the company is headquartered in Mountain View, California. The fame of Google has continued to grow and today the Internet and Google are considered synonymous.
Friends, every service takes some time to become popular, but if the service is thought about by the need and convenience of the people, then soon it becomes famous like it has done with Google.
